John Lewis Partnership, Cabot Park Avonmouth

In 2008 John Lewis Partnership selected the Graftongate/Burford site at Plot 7A Cabot Park for a distribution centre to service their new Cardiff and Bristol stores. A tight programme of 29 weeks was imposed in order to meet the store opening date and allow the tenant fit-out to be carried out. The building consists of 6,615 sq m of warehouse space and 1,256 sq m of office accommodation on two floors. As part of a JLP corporate sustainability strategy, the building was designed to meet a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’. The building was completed in April 2009.
